I have a 22 year old daughter with tetralogy of Fallot. Her name is Ericka. She is a nursing student and married for 2 years. I always loved to hear from parents of tet babies. Her surgeon Ann Arbor. God Bless you. Please free to email me at drmsn@aol.com if you ever need someone to talk to. She has had 1 closed heart surgery and 3 open heart. She is a wonderful girl with a heart for babies due to her condition. Her cardiologist also says that she will be able to have children of her own some day. Enjoy your time with him. I was always stressed out and feared losing Ericka and here we are 22 years later. He will have a wonderful life.. Nancy Neumann

Hi Joey, My Name is Crystal Kessler, I am born with TOF. When my dad told me to read this, It made me realize that I am not the only one out their with TOF. I had my first open heart sergery when I was 16 months old and again when I was 13 years old on 9/11 a year after the twin towers got knocked down, You are a special baby Joey. Don't let other kids make fun of you (Just ignore them-they are insecure about themselfs if they make fun of you for your heart problem something that you had no controle over) As I write this letter to you I am 19 years old turning 20 soon the doctor said I might need another sergery but not sure when that one will be. In middle school and highschool I have been made fun of for it, But it got better in college, Always wear your breaclet Joey it's nothing to be ashamed of, I've always known that but I had alot of trouble in school, Hopefully kids would know what TOF is and that you wont be made fun of for it! ~ Crystal. Good Luck in the future Joey :)
